A new home – A new beginning

Guess what! We are shifting to our new home next week. We just bought this lovely 3 bed room house in the suburbs. I always dreamed of living in the suburbs ever since my son was born. My husband was in the army so we never stick to one place and shifted to several different locations.  I could never think of buying a house with our small savings. Even if you get a house loan from the bank, it takes forever to return that loan. Paying such a high interest rate can even make you financially crippled in a few years, a risk which I did not want to take. I found out about VA Loans while browsing the internet one day. They guarantee 100 % financing which meant that we did not have to put any money down when purchasing our home. My husband further searched the website on VA Loans and once he was fully satisfied, we applied for a loan. I just can’t wait to shift to my new house. My dream of living in the suburbs has come true. Shifting to my new home is the beginning of a new chapter in our lives.

The perfect gift for dad

My dad is in love with beer. He’s not a heavy drinker, but he is a considered drinker – he always takes forever at the bottle shop looking for those unique crafted beers from little-known breweries so that he can try something new, it’s quite astounding just how much time he puts into finding that perfect beer. Well for Christmas this year I decided that I would find him a Beer of the month club which would do all the hard work for him. It took a little while to search through the different options, but I finally settled on the best looking Beer of the month club from greatclubs.com. The guys who run this club sound just like my dad when talking about beer, so I figured they would be the perfect people to do all the leg work for him.

I have to say that my dad was a bit dubious when I gave him the certificate on Christmas for the year of beer, but when the first month arrived with its great selection of boutique beers from all over the country, he was like a kid in a candy store – I’ve never seen him so excited like this – great Christmas present, and well worth it to see that look on my dad’s face.
